Hello! Welcome to my blog. My name is Mari or Mariposa (Butterfly in Spanish), and I am a travel enthusiast. I am a Dominicana, splitting my time between NY, NJ and PA whenever I’m not up in the air.
Here I will share my travel expertise through travel guides, tips and tricks; to help you in your next adventure. I like to have nice vacations while finding the best deals possible. I am curious to see how the travel industry is going to change after this pandemic. Stick with me as we learn together.
I was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic and moved to NJ when I was nine-years-old without speaking a word of English. Since then, it’s been a whirlwind. As a fist generation college student with very traditional Immigrant parents, I didn’t know any other place besides New Jersey and the Dominican Republic. In 2009 my friends and I booked a SpringBreak trip my senior year of college to Cancun, Mexico; and the rest is history. Now your girl has an MBA and has traveled to 13 countries, 13 states and counting.
I was raised in Jersey, but I moved to Pennsylvania earlier this year with my better half Danny and our dog Coal.
Before the pandemic hit, I used to commute to NYC where I work in the Banking Industry. Now I have been working from home for almost 4 months, and until further notice. My goal is to share with you all of my travel hacks.
